Wild Cats!
Folles des chats ? ERREUR !!!
Compatissantes, passionnées, loving animals, YES. This is also why they can not bear to see them suffer the winter and try to save them.
our TV documentary that Quebec introduced last Sunday just throw a stone into the pond of the rescue of stray cats in Montreal and the region. Not only a representative of the agency that originated the documentary leaves imply that cats are living longer outside and inside, which is false, but it condemns the lifeguard that keep them in their home until they find an adoptive family. Unacceptable! According
I think this documentary was made by the spca Toronto to denounce women who keep several cats in the guise deranged and unclean. The purpose of the documentary is unclear and the role of women who participated in the shooting leaves me wondering. Why expose himself to the obvious criticism of the spca and viewers? Many women and men have several cats and love them deeply without being disturbed and not having a spouse.
You think spcas are there to help these women and their cats? Think again. I could tell you a lot about it. Especially when their inspectors can arrive at dawn in a person who has several cats hoping to find dirt and odors before she had time to clean. If they find a cat sick or even died during the night, the ecstasy. What beautiful pictures!
The spca is not there to help the lifeguard or cats. Jobs are paid at the spca and especially well paid. It is money that animal pays the salaries of inspectors to go harass the sly. Either they are inherently evil or they are trying to justify their job. However, they are selective, they will not harass people who have puppy mills.
is the reason why the only man interviewed in the documentary, with his uniform badges and the word "agent" written in large letters across the chest, said with authority that it would be better to kill the cats than the kept in a shelter or foster care. That's what he can do because there were trained. Me, I'm not sure that's what the cat prefers.
But I must tell you here, inspectors and agents "of the SPCA have a culture somewhat different from us. First, they do not like animals and it shows. They feel very stronger when they come in a woman who has several cats before she had time to clean up the mess of the night to take pictures and "interpret" each and every piece of furniture moved litter not emptied. They can then blame the poor lady to cruelty to animals and treat collector and above all, kill all cats. All his money goes to help the cats so she has no money to defend himself and he will suffer the worst treatment. She will not have a coat for Armani to appear in court. As it is all about image and perceptions, a judge will always side with the SPCA.
When we know that with all staff, volunteers and the veterinarian of record, the Montreal SPCA can not even prevent an outbreak of rhino and kill all the kittens on the spot and those who return, the inspectors have no lesson to the lady who love them and see to their welfare with the means at hand. And that for them to live in groups, she had to pay out of pocket all sterilizations. This is not the SPCA. Barnotti time, unsterilized cats went under the only promise of the adopter.
The main purpose of spcas (initially I thought there was only today but Barnotti I add one that sticks to the SPCA) is to destroy the reputation of all those rescuers who do a magnificent job in this province. It's the dirty, demeaning their rescues, copy their ideas for activities detrimental to fundraising and even ownership of their spokespersons. In addition, both the spcas pounds, if they are lucky to have an odor complaint from a neighbor who will not interfere with his business, there is nothing they will not be disturbing the lady who feeds the cats.
The documentary that we have seen plays exactly this role. For girls who have these cats were collected in Street, have cared for, is sterilized and brought safely to the inside, most awaiting adoption. You and I know how difficult it is to adopt an adult cat.
It is a myth that feral cats (feral) can not live in a family as suggested by the agent. Plenty of examples come to mind of abandoned cats who feared humans and are now perfectly adjusted and happy.
However, it is not sure they would all live in a shelter especially those of two or three generations born in the street. This is the reason why I agree methods on Alley Cat Allies cat colonies. Once sterilized, well settled and fed, wild cats can live their lives without the intervention of cats from the SPCA or the pound who think only eliminate them.
Comment Lise wise: this is not these women should be judged, they should be assisted in their tasks. They are those who abandon cats who are guilty but again, the body will never go after them and punish them for putting an animal in danger. Yet the Criminal Code clearly states that this is a criminal act.
Comment Ginette: I watched the video, it is true what he says feral cats can be socialized, I picked up a lot in my life and I still ended up winning their hearts. They need to trust and care that is good ......... Comment by Jessica
: Personally, I turned off the TV after about 15 min. I thought he was exaggerating and bcp generalized, I take my cats for my babies but not c as far as I'm super lonely as a point of not having a spouse. I also found it unfortunate that shows an old lady who was full of stray cats in his house, I thought it was not very clean air if you will, yet this is not the case everywhere .... C yes really crazy name for whom they want to sell: - @, for cons I found it sad for the cats that are strays, it makes me bcp trouble every time I see
CONCLUSION:
For 40 years I denounce the actions of the SPCA in Montreal, but my reading led me to understand that it is a culture that exists in all societies and humanitarian who would need a big change for first help animals and also justify the existence of these organizations that scrape all donations without the aid work and rescue animals.
The only hope as stray animals is the grouping of all the rescuers in order to create a force and participate in educating the next generation of humans not to abandon their cats.
